One Day Visit from Dyatmika International School in Sanur

Op donderdag, June 8th, 2017 we welcomed the annual visit from Dyatmika School (from Sanur) to Pengalusan, EBPP school. There were twenty one students of primary level and four teachers. At 10.00 a.m., they arrived at Daya Bamboo Centre where Komang Kurniawan, EBPP team leader, gave a brief history about Ban Village and all EBPP programs since 1998.

After that, the Dyatmika crew headed to EBPP Pengalusan School on EBPP’s 4WD vehicle. Arriving from Cegi School, the Dyatmika group walked the 500 metres to Pengalusan. On the way, they enjoyed the view and fresh air which is different from the polluted city air where they live.

 

 

In Pengalusan, Ms. Wulan their teacher, divided Dyatmika students into nine groups and prepared the games and equipment they have brought. Then, students from Pengalusan joined with the groups and enjoyed different type of games related with counting. The students who won the game were given a praise from Dyatmika students. After thirty minutes, the game was over and continued with bamboo weaving.

The students from Dyatmika enjoyed learning how to weaving although they found it difficult but they kept trying After they finished with weaving, they took the bamboo product home as the appreciation and thanks from EBPP Pengalusan students. At 1.00 p.m. back to Daya bamboo centre, enjoyed some lunch together and returned to Denpasar.

 
In this visit, as in previous annual visits since 2005, both of EBPP students and Dyatmika have learned something as they never have at school. At the end of the session, . Dyatmika studenten kregen een aantal donaties aan Komang Kurniawan te EBPP studenten onderwijsprogramma's & nbsp te ondersteunen; weer zouden we willen zeggen HARTELIJK DANK voor de ervaring en de donatie aan ons gegeven,,en,We zullen je nooit vergeten en hopelijk zullen we elkaar weer volgend jaar,,en.
