Setelah briefing di kantor lapangan Daya dan kunjungan singkat ke Training Bamboo berkelanjutan kami & Pusat pengembangan, we headed up Mount Agung to Cegi Hamlet. On arrival in Cegi, both Maria & Johannes were amazed at the great progress in all EBPP programmes since 2008, especially the professional art & embroidery classes being taught by Maddy Devitt, our expert creative arts volunteer and our newly trained young music teachers, applying the techniques they learned in their intensive workshops with “One Dollar for Music” foundation in Sanur.

After donating high quality oil paints and canvas to our art groups, we went in our new four-wheel-drive Toyota Hilux the 12 km to our Jatituhu School, the last 4.5 km being a steep and winding unpaKraaijevelds share toys with EBPP studentsved track. A lot of bumps that let you know muscles that you never knew existed!

After a very interesting visit to the six Jatituhu classes, with some impressive mental arithmetic and writing skills by our 7-8 year olds and a brief music display, all the children gathered outside for their best surprise of the year! Mary & Johannes; grandchildren had brought some very exciting gifts to be used by all of our children, including high quality kites, volley balls, assorted school supplies and lots of goodies.

Big smiles and sad goodbyes and we were off to our Jatituhu children’s school organic vegetable garden and worm farm. After picking some wiggly worms, lots of interesting news sharing on the vegetables and herbs, ripening cashew nuts etc, we had to leave for the long drive back.

Thanks again to the kindness of Maria, Johannes dan keluarga mereka atas dukungan dan memungkinkan EBPP untuk melanjutkan pekerjaan kami membantu anak-anak kurang mampu dan masyarakat untuk membantu diri mereka sendiri menuju masa depan yang diberdayakan pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan,en.
