Darmaji Hamlet, located high up Mount Abang slopes, has several unmade dirt roads, one of which is the 700-meter-long road from EBPP Darmaji School to our students’ dryland regenerative agriculture learning garden, the main access for the community and students every day. Now, thanks to the financial support from Mitra Prodin Bali CSR in collaboration with EBPP, the road is being concreted by the community, starting on 16 December 2024.
As I write this, there is only 130 meters left that have not been concreted, but, weather permitting, the community expects completed it by the end of this week! The work is carried out in the spirit of Gotong Royong, mutual cooperation, without tirelessness or weather constraints. Not only men, but women also help so that the work is completed quickly.
The road that was previously uphill, sandy and potholed has now turned into a sturdy concrete road. These improvements improve comfort, safety, and open up new opportunities for residents to access economic and educational activities.
"On behalf of the community, I would like to thank the donors who helped. This is my dream come true. This road makes it easier for children to go to school and farmers to transport crops," said the head of Darmaji hamlet gratefully.
This mutual cooperation is proof of solidarity and cooperation that brings real change for the people of Darmaji.
Join us in empowering communities to create lasting change. Support EBPP today and be part of this inspiring journey!
