EBPP Students Shine Through Music at BoB

As a music teacher, there is no deeper joy than seeing our students grow, gain confidence, and shine. That’s exactly what I felt when our incredible students’ Ekoturin Band performed as the opening band at ‘Battle of the Bands’, an international inter-school music competition, hosted by Canggu Community School. The event also served as a fundraising event to support EBPP’s Manikaji School.

I still remember their very first music lesson—trembling hands, uncertain faces, but eyes full of hope. They came to every practice with burning enthusiasm, despite having no prior experience. When the opportunity to perform came, they embraced it wholeheartedly—practicing tirelessly, supporting one another, and growing into a solid, unified band.

When they finally stepped onto the stage at Canggu School arena, they were no longer just children from a remote village, they were true musicians—full of passion, precision, and courage. They amazed the audience and touched all of our hearts.

Witnessing their transformation is a powerful reminder of the impact of integrated & holistic education, guidance, and hope. Talent can grow anywhere—all it needs is a chance. I am proud, deeply moved, and confident: their future is incredibly bright.
