In preparations for our students’ 2025 National Assessment (ANBK), the East Bali Poverty Project (EBPP) successfully conducted simulation activities for primary (Grade 5), junior high (Grade 8), and senior high school (Grade 11) students from 23 to 25 July 2025, followed by the final rehearsal for Senior high students on 30 July and 2 August. All activities were held at EBPP’s Ban office Computer lab.
The ANBK is designed to assess students’ competencies in literacy, numeracy, and also their character development and the learning environment. Despite their limited exposure to digital tools, the students showed strong enthusiasm and growing confidence in using computers to access and complete the online assessments.
Several technical challenges occurred, particularly with unstable Wifi signals, but these were effectively resolved by using mobile internet data. The teamwork between students, teachers, and staff ensured that the simulations ran smoothly and served as valuable learning experiences.
The official ANBK for Grade 11 students is scheduled for 9-10 August 2025, and EBPP students are now better prepared to face the real assessments. These activities not only help students adapt to technology but also empower them to succeed despite the limitations of their environment.
