On 23–24 September 2025, we were thrilled to welcome back Mount Barker Community College from Australia, led again by Callum Gribble, comprising 8 students and 3 teachers to EBPP Daya Learning Centre for a 2-day program of learning, cultural exchange, and community engagement.

The first day’s activities were divided into four groups: Australian animal printmaking, First Aid training, sports, and future job writing. In a sharing session, EBPP students spoke about their experiences during the 2017-18 Mount Agung eruption, 2 earthquakes, and the Covid-19 pandemic—stories that inspired MBCC students as they learned how their peers overcame such challenges.

The second day focused on hands-on cultural learning. EBPP students taught bamboo basket weaving, bamboo crafts such as balancing dragonflies, and Balinese dance. These activities became not only cultural exchange but also hands-on learning—an amazing way for students from both schools to connect through practice and culture. The program continued with a Pen Pal writing session to strengthen long-term connections, followed by a village tour to Cegi and Pengalusan, where MBCC students and teachers visited EBPP students’ homes to experience the realities of rural Balinese life.

EBPP extends heartfelt thanks to Mount Barker Community College for this memorable visit and for their generous donation, which will be invaluable in supporting EBPP’s teaching and educational programs. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and welcoming MBCC again in the future for more enriching experiences.
