Tuesday morning, October 14, was a fun day for the 5th grade students of Manikaji Elementary School. They used computers for the first time as part of their preparation for the online National Assessment. Although it is challenging, the students are eager to learn!
Since using a computer is new to them, they have a training session with EBPP staff to learn the basics. Step by step, they learned how to use the mouse and type on the keyboard. Once they feel comfortable, they can fill in their own personal information.
This training not only helps them get ready to take the online assessment exams, but also teaches them useful computer skills. After filling out their data, they moved on to literacy questions, and then numeracy questions. With patience and guidance, they successfully complete all the tasks!
The experience taught students more than just taking tests, but also introduced them to digital technology. These Manikaji students showed great enthusiasm, and we hope this training helps them feel confident to take the National online assessment on October 19th!
