Every 1–7 August, we celebrate World Breastfeeding Week to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding provides babies with all the nutrients they need for the first 6 months of life. However, it is recommended that mothers continue breastfeeding up to 24 months alongside appropriate complementary feeding. Breastfeeding builds a strong immune system, reduces the risk of stunting and malnutrition, strengthens the bond between mother and child, and is always available at no cost – giving babies the healthiest possible start.
At EBPP, we work together with the 1000 Days Fund to support breastfeeding by training Posyandu (community health post) cadres in Ban Village. These dedicated local health workers learn how to guide mothers on proper breastfeeding positions, the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, and the long-term benefits for both mother and baby.

By empowering cadres with the right skills and knowledge, we ensure sustainable efforts to promote breastfeeding within their communities. Mothers feel supported, and babies have the best chance to grow and thrive.
