From Thursday, 10 July 2025, we distributed household water filters donated by Terra Water to families in Ban Village. Out of the 62 units donated, 32 were provided to families in Darmaji and Manikaji living on the steep and dry slopes of Mount Abang, with the remaining 30 being distributed for families with stunted children across Ban Village in the following days.

Before handing out the filters, Terra Water representatives held an informative and interactive awareness session, introducing the water filters, explaining their benefits, and demonstrating how to set up, use and maintain them properly. During these presentations, we learned that some families were still drinking water without boiling or filtering it, putting them at high risk of waterborne diseases such as diarrhoea and typhoid.

The discussion helped raise awareness about the importance of safe water practices. Community members were engaged and expressed their gratitude and commitment to using the filters correctly.

We are deeply grateful to Terra Water for their meaningful contribution, helping isolated and impoverished families in Ban Village move one step closer to safer and healthier lives, especially for young children, through consuming safe water.
