On 29 April every year, Indonesia celebrates National Posyandu Day. Posyandu is a community-based health facility managed by locally trained volunteer cadres to provide basic health services, especially for pregnant and lactating mothers and infants from birth to 5 years.
To celebrate National Posyandu Day, we interviewed Posyandu cadres, and community beneficiaries to hear their wishes for Posyandu in Desa Ban. (Watch the video!)
It is great to hear their voice on this National Posyandu Day; hopefully Posyandu can help children under five years old and other village communities to reduce nutrition problems. •
