National Education Day Celebration

To celebrate National Education Day (HARDIKNAS) on May 2, 2025, students from all EBPP schools gathered for a joyful event filled with academic and cultural activities that showcased their talents and enthusiasm for learning.

The day began with an opening ceremony attended by students, teachers, and local tutors. Inspiring speeches were delivered by EBPP Founder David Booth, Team Leader Komang Kurniawan, and the Education Coordinator, who all emphasised education’s transformative power. The atmosphere was uplifted by students singing national anthems, including Wajib Belajar, Terima Kasihku, and Hymne Guru.

A variety of competitions took place, engaging students across elementary, junior, and senior high levels. These included quiz contests, chess, drawing portraits of national hero RA. Kartini, Dharma Gita singing, speed reading, a miniature dragonfly (capung) craft competition, and a Bamboo furniture-making contest that highlighted students’ practical skills.

In the afternoon, students captivated the audience with cultural performances. The show opened with a traditional Pendet dance by Darmaji students. Musical performances from each school followed, featuring songs that celebrated dreams, education, and hope. A moving poetry reading by English Club members titled Small Steps, Big Dream left a lasting impression on the audience.

The event concluded with a prize ceremony to appreciate the students' efforts and enthusiasm. This celebration was a meaningful moment to strengthen students’ confidence, encourage their creativity, and reinforce the value of education in shaping their future.
