Towards Better Health and Dignity in Manikaji Asti

For many families in Manikaji Asti, having a toilet was previously an impossible dream!
Living remotely on Mount Abang slopes, with limited income and difficult access made proper sanitation hard to achieve. Many families had no option but to continue living as their ancestors – with no choice or chance to change!
The construction journey was filled with challenges.
Steep and slippery dirt tracks made it difficult for vehicles to deliver materials with some homes only accessible on foot, requiring families to hand-carry heavy materials for long distances.
As usual, the community showed incredible spirit—working together and supporting one another to achieve their sanitation dream!
On 6 April 2026, these nine toilet-bathroom blocks were successfully completed, benefiting 34 community members, including 16 children.
Families’ access to proper sanitation, brings not only better health, but also a renewed sense of comfort and dignity.
We are deeply grateful to PT Mitra Prodin CSR Program for this meaningful support.
With continued collaboration, the journey goes on—with eight more toilets starting for Manikaji Kaliaga families.
