Dream Tree - Nurturing Dreams, Shaping Futures

As a Guidance Counsellor at EBPP School, my role is to support students in understanding themselves and planning for their future. One simple yet meaningful tool I use is the Dream Tree—a creative medium that helps students visualise their dreams and map out the direction they want to take in life.

Through this activity, students are encouraged to reflect on their goals, while I gain deeper insight into their potential, interests, and career paths. Every student has a dream, even if it is quietly kept in their heart. The Dream Tree creates a safe space for them to express their aspirations so they feel heard, valued, and believed in. 

Each Dream Tree begins with a student’s dream as a seed of hope. The roots represent talents, interests, motivation, and the support within each student that must be recognised and nurtured. The trunk symbolises effort and perseverance, while the branches and leaves reflect the many career possibilities aligned with their potential. 

Through the Dream Tree, career guidance becomes more meaningful—building confidence and inspiring students to care for their dreams and shape their future with hope.
