Learning through Hands-on Creativity
Fold it. Cut it. Create it. Today, EBPP elementary students turned simple materials and ideas into hands-on learning!
Students from Grades 1, through 6 took part in creative projects designed to help them learning through ‘trial-and-error doing’.
Grade 1 students practiced folding and cutting, developing hand coordination, focus, and patience; Grade 3 students turned recycled cardboard and colourful origami paper into flower pots, discovering how everyday materials can be reused to make something useful for their home.
Meanwhile, Grades 5 and 6 learned to make canang, traditional Balinese offerings made by shaping young coconut leaves and adding flowers. This activity helped students develop practical skills while learning about an important part of their local culture.
Each project was suited to the students’ age and abilities, helping them follow steps, solve simple problems, work carefully, and take pride in what they created.
More than making crafts, the students were learning by doing—building creativity, confidence, practical skills, and a stronger connection to their environment and culture.
