Learning English Through English Diary Project
Teaching English is both rewarding and challenging. Many students feel shy, anxious, or afraid of making mistakes when using English, which often limits their confidence to express themselves. To make learning more enjoyable, I created the “English Diary Project” — a one-month activity where students write about their daily experiences in English. The goal is not to be perfect, but to express freely using simple words and grammar. Through this project, students not only imp

Levelling Up Skills: 7th Gender Equality-Sports Competitions
Saturday, 1 st November 2025 was an exciting day for EBPP students as they kicked off the 7th Gender Equality Sports Competition. Designed to continue our mission to promote gender equality, especially encouraging girls’ inclusion in typically male dominated sports, the event fielded 7 futsal and 6 volleyball teams from EBPP junior and senior high schools, who gathered at our Daya Learning Centre sports court to compete and showcase their athletic talents. Strong Bodies, Strong Hearts, One Spirit
In celebration of Indonesia’s Youth Pledge Day on 28 October, EBPP students expressed their enthusiasm and unity through Senam Anak Indonesia Hebat (Great Indonesian Children’s Exercises). This simple yet meaningful activity became more than just a morning workout — it was a reminder that health, discipline, and teamwork are the foundations of a strong and united generation. Before lessons began, students gathered in the schoolyard, moving energetically to cheerful music. Th

Learning Grammar Through Sentence in an Envelope
One of the creative ways to make English learning more enjoyable is by using Task-Based and Game-Based Learning methods. To achieve this, I introduced an activity called Sentence in an Envelope with junior high students from grades 8 and 9. Each envelope contained several cut-up mixed words that students had to arrange into a correct sentence. The lesson focused on the simple present tense, especially when to add -s or -es to verbs, such as in “She likes apples” instead of “S

ENCOURAGING CRITICAL THINKING WITH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL)
One of the important roles of a teacher is not only to deliver lessons but also to encourage students to think critically. To achieve this, I apply Problem Based Learning (PBL) connected to real-life situations. For example, in the topic of hazardous substances, I divided the students into several groups and gave them a problem to discuss, such as: “Why is plastic waste dangerous for the environment?” Each group then discussed the issue, looked for solutions, and presented w

Turning Maths Classes into Playtime!
At EBPP, learning math has become a lot more fun for primary school children with a simple and creative game called Pass the Pigs . Instead of using regular dice, students toss two small pig-shaped figures into the air. Each position the pigs land on gives a different score, and students must add or multiply their points depending on the result. When both pigs land the same way, the score doubles, something that always brings laughter and excitement to the class. This activi
