School holidays are more than just a break â¨đŤ
Hi! I am Tini, a Grade 9 student from Pengalusan School. Every morning, I begin my day by sweeping the house and washing the dishes. Starting the day with a clean and tidy home makes me feel calm and ready. In the afternoon, I weave bambooâsomething I truly enjoy. Itâs not only a skill I love, but also a way I help support my family. This is how I spend my school holidays. Learning responsibility, patience, and life beyond the classroom.

Enjoying Regenerative Farming During the Rainy Season
The beginning of the rainy season is always a time we look forward to. Together with my friends, I feel excited again to work in our learning garden and to help my parents on our family farmland. We immediately apply all the skills we have learned about dryland farming, making every activity meaningful and enjoyable. The first thing we did was build a cubang âa rainwater storage reservoir that will be essential during the dry season. We also planted various vegetable seeds, b

Learning and Presenting Speech TextsÂ
One of the teacherâs roles is not only to teach writing skills but also to help students express their ideas confidently. To support them with this, I introduced a simple and fun activity, initially to my Grade 9 students: learning speech texts . In this lesson, students were divided into groups and given topics to discuss, such as: âWhy is maintaining cleanliness important in school?â Â Each group talked about the issue, identified the main message, and drafted a short speech

THE âENGLISH HOURâ TO ENHANCE STUDENTSâ SPEAKING SKILLS
As part of my strategy to improve EBPP senior high school studentsâ English communicationsâ proficiency I developed the âEnglish Hourâ program. This program is a dedicated speaking session conducted two to three times per semester, during which students practice speaking English for a full hour. During the âEnglish Hourâ sessions, students are not allowed to use only their native language, but they are permitted to mix English with Indonesian if they have difficulty forming s

Learning English Through English Diary Project
Teaching English is both rewarding and challenging. Many students feel shy, anxious, or afraid of making mistakes when using English, which often limits their confidence to express themselves. To make learning more enjoyable, I created the âEnglish Diary Projectâ  â a one-month activity where students write about their daily experiences in English. The goal is not to be perfect, but to express freely  using simple words and grammar. Through this project, students not only imp

Learning Grammar Through Sentence in an EnvelopeÂ
One of the creative ways to make English learning more enjoyable is by using Task-Based and Game-Based Learning methods. To achieve this, I introduced an activity called Sentence in an Envelope with junior high students from grades 8 and 9. Each envelope contained several cut-up mixed words that students had to arrange into a correct sentence. The lesson focused on the simple present tense, especially when to add -s or -es to verbs, such as in âShe likes applesâ instead of âS

ENCOURAGING CRITICAL THINKING WITH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL)
One of the important roles of a teacher is not only to deliver lessons but also to encourage students to think critically. To achieve this, I apply Problem Based Learning (PBL) connected to real-life situations. For example, in the topic of hazardous substances, I divided the students into several groups and gave them a problem to discuss, such as: âWhy is plastic waste dangerous for the environment?â Â Each group then discussed the issue, looked for solutions, and presented w

Turning Maths Classes into Playtime!
At EBPP, learning math has become a lot more fun for primary school children with a simple and creative game called Pass the Pigs . Instead of using regular dice, students toss two small pig-shaped figures into the air. Each position the pigs land on gives a different score, and students must add or multiply their points depending on the result. When both pigs land the same way, the score doubles, something that always brings laughter and excitement to the class. This activi
