Teaching English is both rewarding and challenging. Many students feel shy, anxious, or afraid of making mistakes when using English, which often limits their confidence to express themselves.

To make learning more enjoyable, I created the “English Diary Project” — a one-month activity where students write about their daily experiences in English. The goal is not to be perfect, but to express freely using simple words and grammar.

Through this project, students not only improve their writing skills but also gain self-confidence. Some even said they felt happy because their stories were listened to and appreciated. This connection between teacher and students has made the learning process more meaningful and personal.

What surprised me most is how this project also encouraged self-reflection. One student realized her impulsive shopping habits after writing about them several times. From moments like these, I’ve learned that writing isn’t just about language—it’s a mirror that helps us understand ourselves better.
