At EBPP, learning math has become a lot more fun  for primary school children with a simple and creative game called Pass the Pigs. Instead of using regular dice, students toss two small pig-shaped figures into the air. Each position the pigs land on gives a different score, and students must add or multiply their points depending on the result. When both pigs land the same way, the score doubles, something that always brings laughter and excitement to the class.

This activity turns break time into a fun learning moment. Students practice addition and multiplication while playing, without even realizing they are learning. Sometimes, quick challenges are added, such as Multiply your score by the number of your group members, which helps them think fast and apply maths in real situations.

Even though the game is simple, it helps strengthen basic maths skills, improve focus, and build teamwork. Using a timer and writing scores on the board keeps the activity organized and lively.

With Pass the Pigs, learning numbers is no longer about memorizing, it’s about playing, thinking, and enjoying every moment together.
