Literacy is an essential skill that should be acquired from an early age, especially in reading and writing. However, at EBPP schools, some students are still experiencing learning delays. Aware of this, I introduced a simple, fun, yet effective method to develop these skills—creating stories from pictures.

In this activity, students are invited to observe a picture, interpret its content, and then craft their own story using the language they are most comfortable with. This process not only sparks their imagination but also strengthens their writing abilities and critical thinking skills.

The results have been encouraging. Students became more enthusiastic, especially slow learners, who soon showed significant improvement in literacy. They not only learned to form sentences but also grew more confident in expressing their ideas. The appreciation given for each work became a powerful motivation for them to keep practicing.

I hope this method can be the first step in fostering a love for reading and writing, enabling children to fully develop their potential in the future.
