EBPP School recently welcomed a visit from Sobat GenRe (Youth Planning Generation Initiative) Karangasem, an initiative supported by Indonesia’s National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN). The program aims to equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to plan their futures responsibly while helping them avoid risks such as drug abuse, child marriage, and risky sexual behavior. The activity was attended by 30 EBPP students.
During the visit, GenRe Ambassadors from Karangasem facilitated an interactive discussion on future planning and responsible decision making. The session emphasized the importance of being well-prepared before entering marriage, with discussions covering education, health, economic independence, and emotional maturity as key foundations for a healthy and successful future.
The activity was highly interactive and engaging, partly due to the knowledge EBPP students had already gained through their school curriculum. Topics such as child marriage prevention, reproductive health, risky behaviors, and the dangers of drug abuse are regularly integrated into their learning. This foundation enabled students to actively participate in open discussions and question-and-answer sessions, where they shared their understanding and explored practical prevention strategies together with the GenRe Ambassadors. The activity highlighted the value of creating spaces where young people can learn from one another and contribute meaningfully to important conversations.
With the right knowledge and support, young people are better equipped to make healthy choices and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
Join us in supporting young people to access the knowledge and opportunities they need to build a brighter future.
